The FFN (Lincoln Section) is the brother society to the FFN (Neustadt Section) of which 'Neustadt' is home to the FFN Society. Neustadt-an-der-Weinstrasse given its full name, means 'New-Town on the Wine-Street' and is among several other wine growing villages and towns in the Rhineland Pfalz (Palatinate) region of Germany.
The FFN (Lincoln Section) is a society of men based in the City of Lincoln in the East Midlands of the UK. The society was formed back in 1972 shortly after Lincoln became twinned with Neustadt.a.d.w.
The FFN as a whole is a wine appreciation society, which aim to promote the German wines of the Neustadt area. We also aid and assist in local charity organisations by raising money in the form of wine tastings. The money raised is donated to charity organisations such as St. Barnabas Hospice, Marie Curie Cancer Research and many other groups who ask for a donation. So far we have raised at least £81,000 for St. Barnabas Hospice and we continue to support them along with many other charities in and around the Lincoln area.
